📜 Kombi Escapes – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between you (“the Client”) and Kombi Escapes (“we/us/our”) for the hire of our vehicle and services. By making a booking, you agree to the following:

1. Definitions

• Client: The person or entity making the booking.
• Booking: A confirmed reservation with Kombi Escapes.
• Event Date: The date and time of your confirmed booking.
• Kombi Escapes: The service provider, owner, and operator of the vehicle.

2. Payment & Booking Confirmation

• A booking is confirmed only once full payment has been received.
• Pricing includes vehicle hire, styling, and any agreed add-ons selected during checkout.
• All bookings require a minimum hire period of 3 hours.
• Accepted payment methods: Stripe via the booking link - https://kombiescapes.as.me/

3. Cancellations & Refunds

• 7+ days before the Event Date: Full refund.
• 3–6 days before the Event Date: 50% refund.
• 0–2 days before the Event Date or no-show: No refund.
• Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5 business days.

4. Rescheduling Policy

• You may reschedule once at no extra charge if requested at least 7 days in advance.
• Rescheduling within 3–6 days will incur a $75 fee.
• Rescheduling within 48 hours may not be possible and will be treated as a cancellation.

5. Weather Policy

• Kombi Escapes operates in rain or shine, unless severe weather makes travel unsafe (as determined by us).
• If your booking is impacted, we will offer an alternate date or a voucher valid for 6 months.
• Refunds do not apply unless Kombi Escapes cancels due to unsafe conditions.

6. Vehicle Use & Safety

• The Kombi is for photo experiences, chauffeured rides, and events only.
• Self-driving is strictly prohibited.
• Vehicle use is limited to pre-approved locations and timelines.
• No smoking, vaping, pets, food, or drink are permitted inside the vehicle.

7. Damage & Liability

• Clients are responsible for any intentional or negligent damage to the vehicle, décor, or add-ons during hire.
• A cleaning fee of $150 may apply for excessive mess (e.g., spills, mud, glitter).
• Personal belongings are the client’s responsibility; Kombi Escapes accepts no liability for lost or stolen items.
• Damage will be charged at cost of repair.
• Kombi Escapes holds appropriate vehicle insurance, but is not liable for indirect losses, injuries, or delays outside of its control.

8. Behaviour & Conduct

• Clients and guests are expected to behave respectfully toward our staff and vehicle.
• Kombi Escapes reserves the right to refuse service or end a booking without refund if behaviour is unsafe, abusive, or unlawful.

9. Punctuality

• Bookings start and finish at the agreed time.
• Late arrivals do not extend hire time.
• Additional time (if available) will be charged at the rate outlined in your booking.

10. Photo & Content Usage

• Unless requested otherwise, Kombi Escapes may use photographs from your event for marketing and social media.
• If you’d prefer your event remain private, please advise us in writing before your booking.

11. Add-On Availability

• Some add-ons require 72 hours’ notice and may be subject to availability.
• If an add-on is unavailable, we will notify you and offer a substitute or refund.

12. Client Responsibilities

• The Client must provide accurate event details, including access information, in advance.
• The Client is responsible for ensuring access is safe and suitable for the vehicle (e.g., no steep driveways, restricted streets, or unsafe terrain).
• If access is unsuitable, Kombi Escapes may refuse service with no refund.
• Last-minute changes must be confirmed in writing and approved by Kombi Escapes.

13. Distance & Travel

• Pricing includes up to 50km of travel each way from Newstead, Brisbane, QLD.
• Additional distance will be charged at $1.50 per km.

14. Force Majeure

• Kombi Escapes is not liable for cancellations, delays, or service disruptions caused by events beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, road closures, natural disasters).

15. Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
